I'm looking forward to being asked "where are the other 100" so I can reply "being made into a coat..... this one will be a matching bag once he's a bit bigger" Laughing

I'd win.
Walking through St Ives I probably scored 200billion points.

A woman came up to me, very excited, and said 'Oh wow, that's the 5th dalmatian I've seen today!!!'

Her husband was following and whispered 'Actually, we've been walking in circles and seen YOU five times'.

I got a pretty good score taking Caper to touristy Cordes sur Ciel yesterday.
Lots of foreigners so lots of patting and chatting. But i get a prize for the weirdest remark from an Australian
"Oh look a dalmatian, my uncle had one and they pee on babies on the beach!"
What can you say???

How many times have I also answered those questions Rolling Eyes Boo is a liver spot and I have often been insulted by people asking if she is a real one ..... Twisted Evil

Sadley recently( here and in france while in towns ) I have also often been asked how old is she and has she been neutered ..... now why would people want to know that ?? My guess is its people thinking of pinching her for breeding. Thankfully none of these people know where I live and I would never leave her out side a shop or go any where I couldnt take her. But I was once followed to my car by a rough looking woman who had come to talk to me about her whiile sat out side a cafe in france ...That was scary as Id parked the car in a quiet lane ......

Ooh Balloo I know exactly what you mean. I worry quite a bit about the dogs being stolen here. It deeply unnerves me when complete strangers in the street ask me how much dalmatians are worth. I've also had an unpleasant incident in a petrol station where someone wanted to BUY one of my dogs and got a bit nasty when I refused. There is very strange mentality about pedigree dogs in France which can be quite alarming, fortunately it is not all the time.

I'll have to tell that one to my daughter - she has already asked if the next dalmatian can be a liver spotted one and she is most definitely a chocoholic Rolling Eyes

PS That 'next one' is as well as not instead of the current one Wink

A vet once assured me that my liver pup's spots would turn black "They all start like that". After I set him right I changed vets. If he knew so little about the breed I didn't trust him to know about their idiosyncrasies!

LOL!

And you've just reminded me, a neighbour I haven't seen for a while said to me on seeing my new puppy ... "oh, is that a pup from the two dogs you've got?"

OMG, what do you say to that?!!!, Firstly, Hannah's been gone 6 months now, and secondly it'd be a miracle for Hannah and Megan to have had a litter together, lol!!!

Not that they didn't try when they were adolescent, but thats another story entirely, lol! Embarassed Rolling Eyes Laughing

Oh well, hehe! Laughing
