Hi Jules

It seems that there are only the two of us who wish to communicate in Lancs Embarassed . Bit of a shame really if you look at the other areas.

Hope you and the spots are well. Must meet some time. We are in Crawshawbooth, but have been known to take the spots to Grane res. sometimes! Shocked Shocked

best wishes

Hiya
we too go up to Grane rd, but havent been for a while as my 3 do like to chase the sheep Embarassed and the people up there dont seem to appreciate it, even when my 3 are are the other side of the fence to them !!! ha ha ha
Have to go up when its quiet maybe then i wont have to hide when they run off ! Its fine when the sheep are in the other field, but there always seems to be one left out on the path. The fact that it normally ends up the sheep chasing them ! never seems to make any one other than me laugh though !

Hiya,
I too live in the North West (Hiya Jules!! lol).
Its a great area for the spotties, loads of canals, streams, rivers, woods and hills to walk Shocked
Never mind!! - my lot drag me up the hills and knock me down the other side! Probably why I never seem to lose any weight! Wink
Drag me through the water too!! Ahh yes - those well behaved Caldecacre's (not!!). Twisted Evil Rolling Eyes
Anyway, would be great to hear from others around the area

Hi

Seems I have got things moving! Laughing
Not sure if Jules has realised that I am the person she contacted directly.
Hi there.
We have been members of the club since 1988, when we began to be owned by our first Girl. We showed her for about 12 months, but she never filled out to the judges liking, although she had beautiful balance.
Our second girl just did not have the confidence for showing, in fact she still is , a complete coward Shocked and now nearly 12.
Our latest addition, "3yrs now", was "given" to some one I worked with. Get this: An 18yr old couple living in a 1 bedroom, council flat. This was by a person who already owned a dal, and; had already taken him, from someone else who no longer wanted him. Turned out he is a star! but never a show dog.
Best to all Kay

Hi Jules

Nice to know mine are not the only Dals who "like" sheep.
Do yours also "like" rabbits, in fact anything that moves!
Dee, our first dal came from a farm and never chased anything. These two are a pain. They even used to chase the cat we had, if they saw him in the garden : Rolling Eyes . Then they would curl up with him in the house. Mad or what.

all the best

Hiya Lynne,
Good to hear from other locals ! Very Happy
So what are your interests ? Do you show Dylan ?
We have 3 dals, one we used to show, one we re-homed who hated showing (nervous) , and our girl who would be shown loads but we are expecting a baby in may, so has been put on hold for the mo !
Better go feed the gang !

Hi Jules ( and the gang )

I came across this site by accident really but Im glad I did. Everyone seems so friendly and helpful. Dylan is just a pet and I hadnt even thought about showing him to be honest. Its all still quite new as he is our first dal and he is still a baby really. I have to admit though, he is hard work, but worth every minute. Reading what other members have written I can tell theres a few characters out there and Dyl is no exception.
Thanks for the lovely welcome, and I will keep in touch with the site and hopefully get to one of the shows one day.

Very Happy

Hi again,
it can be great going to a show just to see the other dals and have a chat with other owners.
BDC have fun days where everyone can get involved, and loads of people dont just show. Some do obedience, the rd trials, agility, and loads of other sports with their dals.
Ours are all great in different ways, and all enjoy something different and we enjoy their company and socialising with them jusy as much if not more than going to shows sometimes.
Its always good to have a natter and exchange stories too though ! - convinces us all we arent insane and most of the time its just dallies being dallies !!!

Hi everyone

Jules of course we are insane, we have to be to own Dals. It is just good to know we are not the only ones who are!!!!!

You're right about them all being different. They all have certain Dally trates, but then they each have little quirks special to them.

Welcome to all

Kay
