We took on Sadie, renamed Katie in 1998, when she was 19 months old. And it really was a case of what Katie did next. Trouble WAS her middle name, though her look would say she was not looking for trouble, she very very often found it.

She was the perfect partner for Wilf, and though smaller (And quite a strange shape) she would often have the upper hand

When we were having an extension done to our house, she was up stairs inspecting the work, when she saw Wilf down on the lawn, before she could be stopped, she lept down to get him. from this "Bailing door"

Resulting in a broken leg, which led to a new nickname of "Kate the skate"as when she had stopped running around giving Nazi salutes with her caste, she would scoot it along the block paving, in her "need for speed". Wilf bor the brunt of her new found need for affection.

After we lost Wilf, Katie took on another young whipper snapper, who she introduced to her cat. Oliver, her cat died a short time after Katie, found curled up, stiff as a board in her armchair.

She was a truly lovely dog. Always checked her blind spot before pulling away!

Howl away Katie, you'll always be missed.

How nice that through the sadness you can remember her with happy memories and a smile. Rest well Katie - it sounds like you deserve it.

Thank you for sharing. Our first Christmas without the lovely Kiri - strange not to have her ripping open presents at first light on Xmas Day. Happy thoughts of all our loved and now departed four legged friends.
