We have an 8 year old Dalmatian which we rescued 7 years ago, he had already been re-homed 3 times by the time we got him. He was born deaf. A few months ago he started randomly snarling and showing his teeth at us and our other dogs, all the time wagging his tail, he will come and sit with us for a cuddle and for no reason will show his full teeth and growl (still wagging his tail) we have just got back from the vet who gave his a full health check and said he is a fit healthy dog and suggested we asked on here if anyone had any suggestions. It is almost as if he his bi polar. He has always been funny with changes in the house and licks his legs until they are raw when my daughter goes to university, but we put that down to the fact he had a bad start in life and had so many homes
Any ideas? Please

I don't have any real experience with deaf dogs, so I'd rather not comment. Whole other ball game. Good luck.

You can try balancedtrainers.com there's a lot of pro trainers and amateurs with years of dog experience on the forum. Haven't noticed any posts about deaf dogs but it's worth a shot.
