Particular thanks to Jane and Bill Gardner, my ring stewarts, for keeping the exhibits and I in order, for most of the time!
A special HUGE thank you to all the exhibitors, I was overwhelmed when I heard what my entry was and on the day had 104 new dogs present with only 18 absentees.
Overall, jaws and teeth were good, all coats were clean and only 2 exhibits presented had the dreaded Dally rash.

JUNIOR HANDLING - 6-11 years (5)
Lauren Jane Davis handling her 6 year old Streamline Magic Secret, what a fabulous handler this young lady is, she was alone to execute the capital letter T correctly without shadowing her dog, at all times she knew exactly where I was, her dog can be quite a handful at times but her calm approach makes him dance to her every wish, I asked which group the Dalmatian came in, she answered correctly,
2 Aaron Williams, 10 year old smart young man handling Phadante Bossa Nova Baby, bitch with whom he shared a good rapport, he managed to keep her attention at all times, tried very hard to work out how to do the letter T, he didn't quite manage it but handled his girl beautifully without shadowing, also answered the same question correctly,
3 Andrew Page handling Winflash Harvey Wallbanger.
12-16 (8,2a)
1 Charlotte Page handling Winflash Spring Angel, this young lady is full of confidence, quietly performing all request manoeuvres which she did & they were totally flawless was very observant knowing at all times exactly where I was, never once shadowed her dog & gave the correct answer to the required question, she is a total joy to watch in total control at all times, very tidy young lady & beautifully turned out;
2 Jenny Green, handling Caldecare Cordeiro Tajade, this young lady was smartly turned out, very quiet but confident in her handling elements, showing the correct dentition & answering the same question correctly, she just needs to project herself just a little more, will be one to watch for in the future;
3 Charlotte Smethurst handling Pollypeck Perseverance.
The two young handlers competing were Lauren Davis & Charlotte Page, what a hard task this was, both were very exceptional handlers, in tip-top form, performing to perfection, & it all came down to their knowledge of the points of the dog, I asked each lady in turn three questions, Lauren's knowledge winning her BJH.
