Midland Counties C S 2007 Judged by Mrs J Lanning
Some new names for me among some of the winners but it was interesting on reading the catalogue to see a number of .winners were coming down from the famous old bloodlines, a case of how good blood breeds on!
Most of my class winners came from well filled classes & were generally pleasing. Movement could be better in many cases, few really covered the ground & used their hocks.
Since I last judged the breed I found a number of black spotted Dallies, with very light eyes which does spoil the expression in a good dog. Temperaments excellent. My BOB was a fine upstanding liver male from LD. Correctly made, good head, legs & feet, the best of movers, covered the ground well moving well coming & going, shown in hard muscular condition. BCC, black spotted from LB. Lovely quality, feminine head, dark eye & sweet expression, well balanced, good bone & feet, soundest of movers & covering the ground well. BP, most promising, is the right pattern, good head & eye. Exciting win for his first time owner exhibitor.
