Northern Ireland Dalmatian Club 2008 Judged by Alan Beeston
The Northern Ireland Dalmatian Club held its’ Championship Show on Saturday 27th September 2008. It was an honour to be asked to Judge this Show and my thanks go to the Officials and Committee of the Club for making me so welcome at this, my first CC appointment. My thanks also to all Exhibitors, many of whom made very long journeys to attend, for a good entry with some top quality dogs to go over.
All exhibits were presented in nice clean condition with clean teeth and all temperaments were excellent. I would ask Exhibitors to not overlook feet and ensure nails are short as the “tight cat-like feet” synonymous with our lovely Breed cannot be achieved if nails are too long. Tail sets also varied with some being too high. A few were suffering from Dally rash or poor coat condition which did affect my placings on the day. Overall I was very pleased with the quality of my top winners who all exhibited strong flowing movement and good conformation to the Breed Standard.
