Judge's Critique
MPD(3, 0abs) Two promising babies. 1st Moore’s Fincham Trade Wind. Balanced b/w puppy of moderate size with a level topline and good tail set. Typical head and expression with well broken ears, a good length of neck into good forehand with round bone a spring of pastern and tight feet. Well defined sternum and a spring of rib. Good length and proportion with strong loin. A bend of stifle with hocks well let down. Sound and well balanced overall. Moved well in profile with good reach.
2nd Clement’s Tyrodal Caracal at Caldecacre, slightly bigger male puppy with good bone and substance. Masculine head with pleasing expression, well broken ears and a reach of neck. Good topline, spring of rib and excellent hindquarters with a bend of stifle, well let down hocks used to advantage on the move to give drive in profile and a length of stride.
3rd: Hobbs’ Dakata Doodlebug
PD (6,2abs)Two quality puppies both excelling in profile movement, retaining their toplines on the move. 1st Stokes’ Elaridge Quincie. Pleasing liver boy of good colour, with correct head and expression. Slightly more together as a puppy at the moment than 2nd.. Round bone with tight feet. Balanced in outline with a depth of brisket, a good forehand, level topline and good tailset. Powerful hindquarters with a width of thigh, bend of stifle and well let down hocks.
2nd Graham-Weall’s Phidgity Panda Monium, moderately sized, well spotted black puppy with pleasing bone and substance. Super head and expression with dark eye. A reach of neck into a good topline and tailset. Balanced conformation with a soundly constructed forehand, strong loin and well angulated hind quarters.
3rd: Stevenson & Marsh’s Pennpleck Christmas Santa
JD (8,1abs) 1st Kembrey’s Dalmark The Show Stormer, full of quality, he caught my eye when he entered the ring. Well balanced b/w, of lovely make and shape with clean outline. Good skull and muzzle with a reach of neck into well defined wither. Excellent forehand with a good lay back of shoulder, round bone and compact cat like feet. Good underline with a depth of brisket. Strong loin with well angulated hindquarters, well developed second thigh. Moved the best in this class. Used powerful hindquarters effectively on the move. One of the few that tracked correctly.
2nd Richardson’s Mapplewell It Takes Two JW, slightly bigger stamp but well balanced attractively marked b/w male presenting a pleasing outline, with a good head and expression and well broken ears. A length of neck with strong round bone, a spring of pastern and tight feet. Has a good depth of brisket with a strong loin. Well angulated hindquarters used effectively on the move.
3rd: Stokes’ Elaridge Quincie
SYD (8, 3abs) Two lovely sized moderate males. 1st Tingey’s Kymvale Oberon, l/w of good colour with pleasing head and expression, nice dark eye and a good reach of neck. Strong round bone with super tight cat feet. Nice profile with a good topline and tailset. Strong well muscled hindquarters with well let down hocks. Liked his overall balance. Presented in hard, toned condition. Moved very soundly.
2nd Kembrey’s Jabbawock The Conquistador at Dalmark. Handsome boy, presented in lovely hard condition and showed extremely well, making the most of himself. Good colour liver with a pleasing masculine head and a good reach of neck. Balanced, with a good front assembly, a spring of rib and muscular back end. Good topline with well defined wither, strong loin. Moved quite well.
3rd: Saunders’ Dallydyl Imaginary Friend
PGD (8,2) 1st Morris’ Dalmark The Entertainer. Attractive, moderate sized male with excellent dense black spotting, good skull proportions and correct expression. Arched neck into a well angulated forehand and strong round bone. Clean in outline, balanced proportions, with a good topline, defined wither, depth of brisket and firm loin. Well angulated hindquarters with a turn of stifle and well let down parallel hocks used to give rear drive. Moved best in the class.
2nd Moseley’s Loxleyvale Khandahar. Slightly larger stamp male, soundly constructed with clean lines. Good reach of neck, well angulated, balanced quarters with excellent bone, feet and substance. Good lateral movement with drive.
3rd: Davis’ Streamline Magic Secret
LD (10,3) Two quality males. 1st Peterson’s Buffrey Beau Bell at Daedalus, good colour black. Masculine head with skull of good width, strong muzzle, kind expression with dark eye. Strong round bone and nice tight cat feet. Excellent balanced proportions, well bodied with good depth of brisket, firm level topline. Well angulated muscular hindquarters with well let down hocks. Moved the best in this class, tracked well fore and aft and moved round the ring with drive and purpose. Well presented in hard condition.
2nd Bale-Stock’s Spring Celebration by Appaloosa. Attractive, well marked black spotted male. Lovely head with an appealing expression. Good bone and substance. Tight feet. Good front assembly, balanced overall with well made quarters. Moved with both lateral drive and correct fore/aft tracking.
3rd: Swinburn’s Truganini Trusteppa from Bynton
OD (9,4) 1st Graham-Weall’s Ch Phidgity Pitch Black JW. This b/w dog stood out for quality and class. Of moderate size he is so well balanced and in proportion. Pleasing well proportioned masculine head with nicely broken ears and characteristic expression. A reach of neck into a well defined wither. Clean lines with an excellent topline, croup and superb tail set. Excellent bone and substance. Shapely body, beautifully covered with well constructed quarters and good underline. Excellent muscle tone, presented in hard condition. Eye catching, attractive decoration. Moved really well with drive and covered the ground with free flowing movement. CC
2nd McCarthy’s Ch Tollwood Lionel at Kilndandy JW. Sound,quality male presented in superb condition with much to like. Well defined liver spotting of good colour on pure white background. Balanced proportions with excellent bone and substance. Well constructed forehand with defined sternum, a good depth of brisket and spring of rib giving a good underline. Retained good topline on the move. Strong hindquarters with a bend of stifle and well let down hocks. Moved extremely well. RCC
3rd: Lewis’ Hunterswood Talk of the Town JW
MPB (10,1) Two well balanced b/w puppies of pleasing size. Both well presented in good condition.
1st Peterson’s Phandante Devil in Disguise at Daedalus. Balanced, with a lovely feminine head and typical expression, flat skull of good proportion, and broken ears. An arched neck into well made forehand, good round bone and lovely tight feet. Well constructed quarters. Good underline and topline, held very well on the move. Moved steadily and soundly and tracked very well.
2nd Fort’s Lady of Light from Sunshine, elegant youngster, caught my eye with her pleasing clean outline, sound and well balanced overall and nicely decorated. Feminine head with a good reach of neck, round bone and nice tight feet. Good body proportions, well covered with a super topline excellent wither, croup and tailset. Good rear angulation. Moved quite well.
3rd: Goff-Leggett’s She's A Legend of Washakie
PB (8,2) Pleasing class of promising young stock
1st Grant-Silverstone’s Tanstar Amethyst Rose. Classical l/w with a lovely outline, full of quality. Well made bitch, very well balanced. Typical, classic head with a sweet expression , arched neck into a well defined wither with an excellent topline, croup and tail set. Good underline with a depth of brisket, well sprung rib and strong loin. Beautifully covered with excellent substance with good round bone and neat feet. One of the few with a good layback of shoulder and a discernable sternum. Forehand matched by well constructed hindquarters, with a turn of stifle and well defined hocks. Moved very soundly and tracked very well. Pushed hard for the RCC the quality was all there but just needed a little more maturity, will watch her progress with interest.
2nd Goff-Leggett’s Washakie Desert Orchid. Smart black bitch of pleasing size and proportions. Feminine head with a sweet expression, dark eye, lovely spotted ears, an elegant neck into a well defined wither. Round bone, straight forelegs with a spring of pastern and tight cat feet. Good in outline with a firm level topline and good underline. Well angulated hindquarters. Well toned. Moved very well in profile.
3rd: Stokes’ Elaridge Sherry Pepper
JB (10,1) 1st Scott-Allen’s Tolutim Chartreuse. Charismatic black spotted bitch of moderate size and good proportions. Typical head and expression, a clean elegant neck, defined wither with super topline and tailset. Soundly constructed overall with well balanced quarters. Nice front assembly with straight round bone and a spring in pastern. Well muscled hindquarters which she used to her advantage on the move. Best mover in this class, strode out with excellent reach and drive covering the ground, tracked very well. Showed positively.
2nd Beaumont’s L’Angelo Caduto. Nice one to go over, well marked black spotted bitch of good size with a pleasing head and expression. A lovely neck into a good forehand with well defined wither, a good layback of shoulder with a length of upper arm, well boned with tight cat feet. Depth of brisket with defined sternum. Level topline with clean body lines, nicely covered and well muscled. Moved with drive and tracked well.
3rd: Fort’s Skiddaw Sunshine from Shulune
SYB (12,0) 1st Scott-Allen’s Tolutim Chartreuse
2nd Macdonald of Sleat’s Bosville Brioche, attractive and elegant well balanced liver bitch, with feminine head, arched neck into well defined wither. Clean in outline with a good shoulder angulation, firm level topline, good croup and tailset. Round bone with compact feet, and a slight spring in pastern. Well angulated hindquarters with parallel hocks well defined. Moved soundly and tracked quite well. Held her topline on the move.
3rd: Forrest’s Choosespots Camelia by Spotswood
PGB (14,3) 1st Lamb’s Leaveslake Lily at Dalpetro JW. Charming liver bitch so very well balanced and in proportion. Pleasing head proportions with flat skull and sweet typical expression. Elegant neck into a well defined wither with a super topline and tailset. Sound forehand with a good lay back of shoulder and a length in upper arm. Most pleasing in outline, beautifully covered presented in lovely condition. A good underline with a depth of brisket, spring of rib and a strong loin. Strong well angulated hindquarters with defined hocks. Excellent round bone. Moved very well in profile and tracked best in this class.
2nd Scott-Allen’s Olbero Olympic Rose JW. Well balanced black bitch, sound all through and excels in profile movement using good angulation to her advantage . Typical head and expression with lovely reach of neck. Good forehand with a well laid shoulder. Round bone, straight forelegs with tight feet. Pleasing topline and underline.
3rd: Cuthbertson’s Ellemstra Made To Order for Kalsidoni
LB (10,1) 1st Baker’s Abbydal Angelica by Dalleaf JW. Attractive, eye-catching bitch with charisma. A super clean outline with well balanced proportions, of good substance. Classical head, pleasing expression with good pigmentation and dark eye. Lovely arched neck into a good wither with a sound forehand and well laid shoulder. Excellent bone and feet. A good topline and underline with angulated hindquarters, well muscled with a width of thigh and hocks well let down. Moved very well in profile. Well decorated, in lovely coat and condition. Shown with aplomb.
2nd Fleming’s Chandally Chantilly Lace, a moderately sized black bitch with a typical feminine head and appealing expression. Tapered neck atop a well defined wither. Balanced overall with well made quarters, well muscled in toned condition. Pleasing round bone and neat feet. A good topline, strong loin and a good underline. Moved extremely well both fore and aft and had good lateral drive.
3rd: Macdonald-of-Sleat’s Bosville Beigret
OB (13,5) 1st Lewis’ Ch Hunterswood Tittle Tattle JW. Stood out for quality with outstanding driving movement. Beautifully made black bitch, with a superb head and expression, well set ears, flat skull of excellent proportion with a strong muzzle, good pigmentation. Well boned of good substance, not overdone in any way. Most pleasing in outline and balanced overall, a sound forehand and strong well angulated hindquarters with well defined parallel hocks. Excellent topline and tailset. Free moving with a good length of stride and precise tracking that few could match. Well presented in fit hard condition, a true showgirl. CC , BOB. Really on her toes, she went so well in the group, and did the breed proud in such strong competition Group2.
2nd Black’s Ch Boval Britannia, extremely feminine and elegant liver bitch, well balanced proportions with a super outline. Very shapely well covered body with pleasing round bone and super tight cat feet, good muscle tone. A feminine head with a typical expression, clean elegant neck, defined wither and excellent topline and tailset. Nice front assembly with a depth of brisket and spring of rib. Well angulated hindquarters with second thigh and hocks well let down. Very sound free mover with good drive from quarters. Well decorated and attractively marked with a very tight, clear white coat. Immaculately presented. RCC
