Dalmatian Club of Scotland Open 2014 Judged by David Webb
Dalmatian Club of Scotland Open Show Sunday 19th October 2014.

I would like to thank the committee for asking me to judge at their club show. I really enjoyed my day. I was thrilled with the entry that I received from exhibitors and was impressed with the whole atmosphere of the show with all class winners being applauded. Temperaments were excellent with all dogs allowing me to assess them correctly. Overall the quality was in the bitches which made some very hard decisions for me to make. Only concerns I found was lack of upper arm in most exhibits and several had very poor feet. Lastly I found several exhibits could have done with a good bath or rub down before going into the ring.
I was very impressed with my main winners and I wish them well in the future.

BIS- Jezebel The Astonishing Sophtspot(IMP).
RBIS- Dvojica Black Again at Wrendragge JW Sh.Ch.

Puppy Dog
- 7 entries- 2 abs

1st Richardson,Mrs L, Mapplewell Dynamite - promising 6 month old liver dog who caught my eye when he came in the ring, he has a good strong muzzle and nice back skull without being coarse, eye colour is good. He has enough neck which flows into his nice lay of shoulder, good front with nice tight elbows. Nice rounded spring of rib and good depth of brisket, correct length of loin, good tailset which is held correct standing and on the move, lovely angulation. His movement was true with reach in front and drive from behind. He was so well schooled and handled. Was pleased to award him BPD,RBD BPIS.
2nd- Donnelly,Mrs M D M & Mr S P, Tamilanda Berry Ice Lilly - A leaner rangier puppy who is just over 61/2 months, striking black spotting on a clear white coat, he has a nice head with beautiful dark eye given a kind gentle expression, he has good front assembly and lovely reach of neck into well laid shoulders, strong topline which is held correctly standing and on the move, another with good angulation which he used to show correct strong movement going around. I would prefer a little more weight on him at this age. Just needs to body up all through but am sure this will come with age. A promising puppy.
