BUBA 2017 Judged by Mrs Gail Levy
BUBA 2nd December 2017

I would like to thank the BUBA committee for inviting me to judge at this show and for their hospitality. Also thanks to my stewards Kathy and Leopold and my gratitude to those who brought their dogs under me and for the sporting way they accepted my decisions. I have not shown or been around the ring for some time and most of the dogs were new to me. I was looking for a dog which of course met the breed standard and as a carriage dog had the stamina and endurance, but I also require elegance in a bitch and to be of correct size, have feminine head and expression and it being obvious without examination the sex of the dog. Some bitches are oversize and too masculine and this will explain some of my placings. All dogs were of very good temperament although some were dirty, a wipe with a damp cloth would have helped before entering the ring.

(3) Difficult class to judge as all puppies very young and all over the place but am sure as they mature they all have potential to do well. The placings today were based on maturity and could change on another occasion.

1 Millington Capearlla Pure Diamonds. Best mover . Dense black spotting on white coat, well balanced, pleasing expression.
2 Norgrove Sassydals Red Amour. Larger dog heavily spotted, well off for bone and in good condition.
3 Quayles’s Milbelle Kicking Horse at Cubalibre.

1 Christies’s Laguna Dios Free Falcon by Sophtspot. Handsome black spotted dog. Very good condition and his handler allows him to move freely with good length of stride. Construction balanced and sound. Well off for bone and he should have a promising future. BP
2 Thorne’s Spotiray Billy Elliot of Castletop
. Another promising puppy. Well off for bone, dense black spots, lacked the maturity of the winner of this class but everything in proportion. Good top line and tail set.
3 Millington’s Capearlla Pure Diamonds

1 Healey’s Doshaburi the Cloud Dragon at Hebemor. Super liver dog who moved out really well with driving action. Lovely outline with correct tail set and topline and was one of the best movers of the day, just lacked maturity to go further. Not a flashy dog but correct conformation, good head and neck into back. Well sprung ribs.
2 Hopkin’s Rapanooey Red Rose. Not as balanced as winner on the move, lovely head, dark eye, good bone well defined withers and deep chest. Pleasing expression. Very nice dog.
3 Millington’s Gloriandus Sagaro of Capearlla (Imp Rus).

(9,2) Very nice class of quality dogs.

1 Healey’s Doshaburi the Cloud Dragon at Hebemor.
2 Gardinor’s Dakata Duranta
. Another masculine but not overdone black spotted dog, Deep chest, well sprung ribs, very well balanced with lovely head, dark eyes, moved out well keeping good topline and tailset. Correct angulation.
3 Hernandez Dalminshi Starlite Express JW.

1 Healey’s Doshaburi the Cloud Dragon at Hebemor.
2 Gibbs’ Phadante Mr. Blue Sky JW
. Handsome heavier masculine black spotted, good construction and angulation front and rear, deep brisket and moved freely with his handler. Lovely expression and kind eyes.
3. Pace’s Big Addo.

(12,1) Difficult to separate the first 3 winners in this class.

1 Whincup’s Tamilanda Midnight Lilly JW . Good round bone, in excellent condition as are all Dalmatians from this kennel. Lovely long stride on the move. Strong front and excellent topline and tailset. Masculine dog who looked like he could go all day but not overdone or heavy.
2 Hopkin & Hobbs’ Rapanooey Rasputin. Larger dog but not heavy , very good tight cat feet and moved with long even stride keeping good topline and correct tail set.. Good bone, deepchest.
3 Gardinor’s Jamelsley Pyracantha at Dakata JW.

(12,4) Lovely class and my first 3 were outstanding representatives of the breed.

1 Alexander’s Ch. Offordale Chevalier JW. So much has been written about this wonderful dog. A superb champion who has not aged and lost any of his winning attributes. Lovely long stride, strong rounded bone, angulation correct, handsome head, good length of neck, does not look like a veteran. DCC
2 Christie’s Ch.Sophtspot Gold Dust
. Another superb champion, lovely liver, excellent movement, masculine head with arched neck. Deep chest. Lovely cat tight feet. RDCC
3 Dunnachie’s Ch. Dvojica Vendetta.

1Hajee & Tidcombe’s Castletop Summer Breeze . 6 months old beautifully spotted black bitch who showed well for such a young puppy. Lovely outline, everything in proportion and the size I like for bitches. Moved well for her age.
2 Hobbs & Whiting’s Rapanooey Rascalllion. Also very promising liver bitch with correct angulation and balance. Just a little unsteady on the move which would expect from her age.
3. Wrights’s Millbelle Fernie.

1 Hajee & Tidcombe’s Castletop Summer Breeze.
2 Hobbs & Whiting’s Rapanooey Rascallion.
3 Millington Capearlla Pure Illusion.

1 Neath-Duggen & Baker’s Buffrey Hanky Panky by Dalleaf JW. Classic black bitch, constructed well with correct angulation. Moved with reach and drive and kept topline on the move. Correct tailset. Feminine head and dark eye and good expression.
2 Gardner’s Chilli Chutney for Wrendagge JW. Beautiful liver bitch, good construction and bone, well arched neck, excellent in profile, everything correct but she let herself down on front movement.
3 Quayle’s Chizzmic Carry on with Cubalibre.

1 Pratt & Christie’s Sophtspot in a Heartbeat. Black spotted bitch with good outline and conformation, movement was loose and can carry her tail high but all can change as she matures.
2 Probert’s Millbelle my Precious at Ribot. Close decision with the winner of this class. Longer in body and well balanced, good head and expression. Moved OK.
3 Quayle’s Chizzmic Carry on with Cubalibre.

1Croft’s Kalokairie’s Barberella from Koroyza. Beautiful liver bitch who took my eye as soon as she came into the ring. The correct size for a bitch, well balanced, good angulation and moved round the ring with drive and elegance keeping topline and correct tailset. Well defined withers, well sprung ribs, refined head with arched neck light and tapering into the body. I am sure she will have a very successful show career which I shall follow with interest. CC and BOB
2 Norgrove’s Sassydals Slingsby Firefly
. Another lovely bitch dense black spots, longer in back than winner of this class, balanced and moved out with well with long stride.
3 Brennan’s Daymadals in the Mood JW.

1 Wilkinson’s Gwynmor High Fives to Hunacres (IMP NLD) JW .Quality beautiful black spotted bitch, correct size, good angulation and well balanced. Lovey arched neck into body with kind expression . She can move well strides out but plays up her handler so it is difficult to see her at her best RBCC
2 Wrights’s Offordale Anastasia avec Millbelle JW
. Another lovely bitch with dense black spots, good assembly and well balanced, good topline on the move and correct tail set. Just preferred the size of the winner.
3 Dore’s Daldior Miss Hula Hula Girl.

1 Dunachie’s Ch. Dvojica Volition. Lovely liver bitch, correct size, arched neck into correct topline, excellent front assembly, good feet and flowed around the ring, well balanced and considered for top award.
2 Christie’s Ch. Sophtspot Glitterati JW . Close 2nd but prefer the size of winner. Correct angulation, well balanced, deep chest, arched neck and powered around the ring keeping topline and correct tailset.
3 Whincup’s Tamilanda Pick-a-Lilly JW.
