DALMATIANS BOURNEMOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW 10TH AUGUST 2024
Many thanks to the officers and committee of this friendly show. A pleasure to judge for you.
Thank you to the exhibitors for giving me a good choice of some quality Dalmatians. It was lovely to have as stewards my friends Linda and Marion, thank you ladies.
Sadly as is almost the norm today high tail carriage especially in the males is a big problem, and newer exhibitors and breeders will think that this is what is expected and that it complies with the breed standard… It does not, and it detracts and spoils the overall outline. On the plus side, coats were in the main excellent and temperament was good a few hesitant ones but nothing that time and patience will not correct.
I was looking for a muscular Dalmatian that had elegance and quality and was fit for function, and I did find these attributes in most of my class winners and certainly in my CC and Res CC placings
