DALMATIANS
Veteran Dog (2)
1. Neath-Coyne and Baker’s Ch Buffrey Incognito by Dalleaf. CC, BOB, Best Veteran. This is an outstanding b/w dog with every structural quality required by the standard. Add to that, he has spotting of excellent colour and distribution, shows like a dream and has a handler, who always gets the best out of him, whether standing or on the move. He totally filled my eye and I was delighted to see him win Second in the Utility Group, later.
2. Finlay’s Dalfin Actual Fact. B/W of good coloured spotting. Dark eyes helped his appeal in head and expression. Well-bodied overall. Tended to over-stretch when standing, which detracted from his general appearance.
Minor Puppy Dog (6 with 1 ab)
1. Mellor and Richards’ Hafwenna Magizoologist with Lyzahro. Black and white spotted youngster of 10 months. Well-boned in front. Good overall body shape and a strong loin. Moved soundly. I would have liked a few more spots on the head and face.
2. Whincup’s Tamilanda Vintage Gold. Liver and white, with spotting of good colour and distribution. Some 1 month younger than the winner and this made a difference. Showed with verve. Well-muscled back legs. Good general body condition and shape.
3 Williams’ Hafwenna Forbidden Forest
Puppy Dog (6 with 1 abs)
1. Tamilanda Vintage Gold
2. Morris’ Louis de Valentin. B/W spotted. Generally well-balanced overall but slightly smaller than the winner, even though he is older. Liked his head and expression. Good shoulder placement. Stood squarely behind, which was far from true of other exhibits. Not the showmanship of 1.
3. Wilkins’ Salvadorada King of Hearts
Junior Dog (2 with 1 abs)
1.Dinsdale’s Dotlun Apache Running Bear. I loved this young liver and white dog. Excellent head and expression. Good neck down into well-laid shoulders. Strong front bones. Tight feet. Plenty of rib space. Really good, well-controlled movement both in front and behind. Deservedly won the Res.CC
Post Grad Dog (7 with 2 abs)
1. Wilkins’ Salvadorada Heads Will Roll. Liver and white, with well-distributed spotting of a correct colour. Well-balanced make and shape. Good bone. Well broken ears helped to enhance his head and expression. Moved soundly.
2. Watts and Jackson-Peatling’s Jaxsondal Rocket Man. Another liver and white but spotting not as attractive as on the winner. Flies his ears, which detracts from his expression. Good straight front. Strong loin. Moved well.
3. Growcott-Jones’ Rodengrove Rudolph
Limit Dog (13 with 2 abs)
1. Williams and Tanswell’s Tolkain Storm King from Phadante. Black and white of good colour and distribution. Balanced make and shape. Strong front bone. Well-laid shoulders. Well-developed hindquarters. Moved soundly in front and behind.
2. Williamson’s Shydally Ultimate Edition. Also black and white spotting similar to that of my winner. Attractive head but would have preferred a darker eye colour. Good overall make and shape. Stood four square behind and moved with drive.
3. Baker’s Kelevra Chive Talking with Dalleaf
Open Dog (7 with 1 abs)
1. Whincup’s Tamilanda Air Force One. Another quality Dalmatian from this kennels. Black and white markings of good colour and distribution. Dark eyes, attractive head. Well-laid shoulders. Strong, balanced body. A real showman, both standing and on the move. Only just tipped at the post fot the Res CC.
2. Pearson’s Swiss Ch Kelevra Dill or no Dill. Appealing black and white spots. Well-held ears enhanced his head and expression. Good, overall spotting. Balanced throughout but not as strong in loin as the above. Well-muscled hindquarters but, standing, he has a tendency to over-stretch behind, at times.
3. Dunnachie’s Ch Dvojica Enrique
Good Citizen Dog (2 with 1 abs)
1. Richards’ Mediolanum Winterfell for Hafwenna. Lightly marked black and white. Rather white faced. At times, he lacked animation. Standing, he looked balanced but he seemed a little loose behind, when moving.
Veteran Bitch (6 with 2 abs)
1. Jenkins and Ridgway’s Luccombe Strawberry Kisses. Very stylish l/w bitch, who obviously enjoyed her day in the ring by showing her heart out. At times, her tail almost wagged the dog ! Well-structured, balanced, good make and shape. Moved soundly.
2. Hartley and Griffiths’ Creaganbrec Glory Be at Miragua. Black and white of a smaller type than the winner and not as well-endowed with spotting. General make and shape was fine but, standing, she has a tendency to crouch, which affects her appearance to her detriment.
3. McManus’ Boschendal Ashes of Roses
Minor Puppy Bitch (9 with 1 abs)
1. Wilkins’ Salvadorada Kinky Boots . A lovely liver and white. Only 7 months old but she has all the self-confidence of a veteran. Showed herself off with vigour. Handler and animal were very much in tune so she moved with purpose. Strongly boned in front and well-muscled behind. Deservedly Best Puppy.
2. Tillson’s Tamilanda Rose Gold at Elabri. Another liver and white, with attractive markings both in colour and distribution. Slightly smaller in type than the winner but also well-built. Moved soundly but, standing, she can be too relaxed behind at times.
3. Wareham and Wylde’s Tamilanda Gold Standard at Dotsadaisy
Puppy Bitch (5)
1. Salvadorada Kinky Boots
2. Tamilanda Rose Gold at Elabri
3. Kaal’s Rapanooey Rosebank von Schunikka
Junior Bitch (9 with 3 abs)
1. Valentine’s Dvojica Fizzy Pop. Lightly-marked black and white, with spotting of a rich colour. Strongly-bodied overall, with a solid loin. Good bone. Well-muscled and moved soundly. Stood really four square.
2. Hurst’s Dvojica Firefly for Finnidal. Litter sister to the winner and shares many of her qualities. More heavily-marked black and white. A real showgirl, like her sister. Not quite the drive behind of the winner and that decided their respective placings.
3. Pickup’s Dotlun English Rose at Roadcoach
PostGrad Bitch (13 with 4 abs)
1. Neath-Coyne and Coyne’s Kelevra Pickle My Fennel with Buffrey. Sired by my BOB and having many of his qualities. Lovely liver and white, with clear markings of good colour and distribution. Well-laid shoulders, good bend of stifle. Moved with drive. A real showgirl but played up her handler once or twice. Nearly gave her the Res CC.
2. Jenkins and Ridgway’s Luccombe Strawberry Ripple. Also a liver and white but her spotting is not so good as that of the winner. Very attractive head and expression, except when she flies her ears. Good make and shape. Moved soundly both in front and behind. Shows herself off to advantage.
3. Wilkins’ Salvadorada Honestly Maybe
Limit Bitch (14 with 2 abs)
1. Richards’ Hafwenna Blackbird. Black and white spotted girl with well-distributed markings of good colour. Body well constructed. Good bend of stifle. Moved correctly both in front and behind. Showed throughout.
2. Williamson and Howard’s Decoda’s Toffee Apple. A liver and white with spotting of a rich colour but slightly smaller in size than on others. Well-broken ears, correctly held, helped to produce an attractive expression. Soundly made in all ways and well-balanced. Moved well.
3. Pickup’s Dotlin English Rose at Roadcoach
Open Bitch (13 with 3 abs)
1. Gardner’s Ch Dvojica Chilli Chutney for Wrendragge. A veteran in age but not in any other way. Well-distributed liver markings. Lovely square silhouette. Strong front bone and well-developed stifles. Moved with genuine purpose. Quality throughout. Bitch CC
2. Chance and Dodds’ Ch Dotlun Apache Inch Perfect. Res CC just like her half-brother. Also a liver and white. More heavily-marked than the winner. Slightly longer in loin but this did not affect her overall balance. Sound movement both going away and coming towards me.
3. Whincup’s Ch Tamilanda Continental Gold
Good Citizen Bitch (4 with 1 abs)
1. Pickup’s Dotlun English Rose at Roadcoach. Third time lucky ! But deserved to win this class. Well-marked liver and white. Good overall construction, if perhaps a little long in loin. Well-shaped stifles, which she used on the move. Showy.
2. Williams and Tanswell’s Nalderhill Aphrodite at Waltzaway. Liver and white 6-year old. More heavily-built than the winner and not as good on the move. Tended to hang her head down, which affected her overall show appearance.
3. Melling’s Jemblewood Candy Floss
